Winner of the National Elvis Tribute Artist Contest Hosted at Carnival City. Doug Weich is a devote Elvis fan and a premier Elvis Tribute Artist. He has been performing to live audiences for more than 15 years.
In his own words "Nobody has ever had the influence on me that Elvis Presley had, he was, is and will always be the King of Rock 'n Roll." Many people would have loved to have been at one of Elvis' concerts, but were never given the opportunity.

Bookings are now open for an exhilarating show that will take you on a journey down memory lane to re-live the Vegas years and pay tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
With his voice, moves, rhinestone-studded jumpsuits and charisma, Doug Weich as an Elvis tribute artist is in a class of his own.
All the way from Ballito in KZN, Doug is bringing his show to Johannesburg where he will perform for three shows only at the Ridge Park Sports Club.
The show gives us a glimpse of what it was like to watch the King of Rock ’n‘ Roll in Las Vegas when he made his return to live performances, starting from his debut in 1969 until the late 1970s with all the glitz and glamour.
Doug, like Elvis, is backed by an outstanding professional four-piece band – Evan Cullum on keyboard and backing vocals, Francois Hardy on drums on backing vocals, Jason Andrew on bass guitar on backing vocals and David Knott on lead guitar.
This show is for audiences of all ages, with all-time favourites such as Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes, Jailhouse Rock, It’s Now or Never, Fever, Heartbreak Hotel, Johnny B Goode and Suspicious Minds.
Callie Els, a multi-talented 17-year-old singer/songwriter who also plays guitar and keyboard and studies vocals and guitar at the Campus of Performing Arts in KZN, will appear as a special guest artist.

Doug Weich will present his Elvis Presley tribute show, Burning Love, at Rhumbelow Theatre in Durban from November 13 to 15, 2020.
Based in Ballito, KZN, Weich realised his calling to be an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist) from a very young age. Climbing through the ranks, he has certainly cemented his place as one of the top ETA’s in South Africa. With his voice, moves, rhinestone-studded jumpsuits and charisma, his shows are a must see.

Rhumbelow Theatre
The Rhumbelow Theatres in Pietermaritzburg and Durban will be hosting Elvis and Legends, featuring Doug Weich and his eight-piece band, from Sunday, August 14 to Sunday, August 28.
This is the fifth year that Ballito-based Elvis impersonator, Weich, has played the Rhumeblow and this new show promises to pay tribute to some of the greatest entertainers of all times including Elvis Presley, Tina Turner, Elton John, Cher, Dolly Parton, Jerry Lee Lewis and Marilyn Monroe.
Joining Weich will be Wade Wight (keyboards and backing vocals), Evan Cullum (piano and backing vocals), Jason Andrew (bass guitar), Dylan van der Linde (drums), David Knott (lead guitar), Kirsty Madgin (saxophone) and vocalists Marion Loudon and Nicky Knott.
They will be performing hits like Suspicious Minds, Walking In Memphis, Pretty Woman, Great Balls Of Fire, Crazy, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Proud Mary and Working Nine To Five just to name a few. So, head down to the Rhumbelow Theatre as the ‘Maritzburg and Durban venues commemorate the passing of Elvis Presley 39 years ago on August 16, 1977.

The Show takes us on a journey through the different era’s of Elvis and Priscilla, as we pay tribute to one of the greatest entertainers of all times, “The King Of Rock n’ Roll”, and also pay tribute to his “Queen” the one and only true love of his life, Priscilla Presley. It was a fairy tale love story that was filled with so much happiness but ended in so much heartache. A love and regret that was so strong, that no fame nor fortune could stop the downward spiral that would eventually lead to Elvis’ self-destruction.

For a night filled with music and memories from yesteryear re-live the Vegas years from the early 70’s. Ballito-based Doug Weich pays tribute to the “King” in remembrance of his passing 37 years ago.
He will be backed by an eight piece band made up of some of Durban’s most proficient musicians, and includes two renowned backing vocalists. Led by musical director Nicole Couto-Leite (piano),Wade Wight (Keyboard), Jill Murray-Brown (bass), Graham Buckle (drums), Bruce Boome (lead guitar), John Skuye (acoustic guitar/percussion), Marion Loudon (backing vocals) and Tammy Saville (backing vocals).
